Five Rivers Bobbin Lacemakers, founded in 1989, is an informally organized group of friends who participate in activities related to bobbin lacemaking. Our goals are to make lace, have fun, and advance the knowledge of bobbin lacemaking. The group takes its name from the Allegheny, Monongahela, Ohio, Beaver, and Youghiogheny Rivers of Pennsylvania. Most of our members are from southwestern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio, but anyone is welcome to join.
